Aussie 365 party girls are reeling after a haphazard attempt to get tickets at the Laneway Festival 2025 pre-sale on Tuesday morning.
Following the stellar line-up announcement last week, thousands of fans signed up for entry to the event’s online pre-sale which went live at 10am AEST today on Ticketek. The demand was high, and punters had to wait in a queue of tens of thousands of people before being redirected to the ticket purchasing page. However, when they got there, there was no option to actually buy the tickets.
With only eight minutes of time allocated for each purchase, many users were kicked out of the ticket purchasing page before they were able to nab tix. Naturally, this resulted in some pretty pissed-off people on social media.
As one of the thousands of people who stopped all work to try and get tickets, this fucking sucked. Thankfully though, after re-opening the link in the same browser that I’d already used to get through to the purchasing page, I was able to hold my spot long enough for the purchasing button to become available.
Thankfully, Laneway clocked on to the issue pretty quickly and shared some tips on Instagram Stories.
When PEDESTRIAN.TV reached out to Laneway, the festival organisers assured us that the issue is fully resolved and that there are still tickets available so if you’re still trying to get locked in for pre-sale, GO GO GO GO!!!
But if you miss out, no stress. The general sale kicks off at 10am AEST tomorrow, October 16.
We’ve reached out to Ticketek for further comment to see what went down.
