A terrifying incident unfolded on Interstate 40 in Black Mountain, North Carolina, as a landslide caused by the remnants of Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc on a couple's car.

The Keffer couple, Kelly and Alan, were driving through the area when they suddenly found themselves in the midst of a landslide. Alan's quick reflexes helped them navigate through the chaos as rocks, mud, and shattered glass pelted their vehicle.

Describing the harrowing experience, Kelly Keffer recounted how her husband spotted the danger and accelerated to escape the sliding debris. Alan Keffer shared his perspective, mentioning that the landslide caught them off guard, causing significant damage to their car.

The landslide, which lasted less than a minute, left the Keffers shaken but thankfully unharmed. The aftermath revealed a shattered back window and a layer of mud covering their vehicle.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable and destructive nature of natural disasters, even in unexpected locations like a busy interstate highway. The Keffers' ordeal highlights the importance of staying vigilant and prepared during adverse weather conditions.
