Landslide at landfill in Guinea kills 30 people, government says

A landslide at a waste site in Guinea early on Sunday has killed 30 people and injured several others after heavy rain caused a mound of rubbish to collapse, government officials reported.

The landslide buried nearby tents and shacks and destroyed several homes. A search and rescue operation was launched to try to find survivors.
