A driver was stunned after a very rude message was left on the windscreen of his Land Rover. Adam Chester, 46, was visiting his friend in Harbone, Birmingham, on Thursday, July 6, and parked up his 4X4 at the roadside.
However, he was left baffled after coming back to find two notes wedged into a door and on the windscreen of the 2011, three-litre engine diesel motor, reports Birmingham Live.
One handwritten note read: "Do you really need a big, polluting vehicle to get around a city? Have a nice day!" But the other suggested he owned his grand motor to compensate for smaller-sized things elsewhere.
The black-and-white card stated: "Do you drive a Jeep, 4X4 or Range Rover in the city? You could be entitled to free penis enlargement therapy on the NHS."
But Mr Chester revealed he wasn't angry or insulted by the notes, as he describes himself as environmentally conscious. And he admitted he understood the mystery fly-poster's view and was just grateful no damage was done to his car.
Mr Chester said: "I'm all for people having an opinion and being allowed to protest. The oceans are rising, climate change is worrying, we have to be aware but it needs to go higher up the chain. Is the government doing enough ?
"They didn't cause any damage to the car. If there was damage to the car, it would have been a different scenario."
He posted the cards on Facebook, where another woman said she had received the same note and a man said he heard of tyres being let down in the area.
One Facebook user said: "Some people have way too much time on their hands." Another wrote: "Leave both messages inside the car with answers for tomorrow. On the small one, write 'Yes', on the large one write 'Already done'."
