A Lanarkshire woman blew £50,000 that was supposed to pay her dementia-suffering father's care home fees.

Alison Carson told a social worker she'd spent all the money and resorted to buying scratch cards in a desperate bid to "win it back".

Carson, 53, of Shottskirk Road in Shotts, admitted embezzling the cash between August 2016 and February 2018.
