A killer tossed a smoke bomb into a house after being released early from prison.
Dean Haddow demanded cash and barged into the property insisting he wanted to speak with "John".
The 30-year-old is now back behind bars at HMP Barlinnie after the frightened woman who opened the door called police.

Hamilton Sheriff Court heard yesterday Haddow lost the plot when the woman told him the man he wanted wasn't there.
He threw the smoke bomb into the living room as he left forcing the owner to cover it with fabric and throw it outside.
Haddow admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the house in Hamilton in January, and was banged up for six months.
Sheriff Andrew McIntyre condemned his 'terrible' record of previous conviction, including the culpable homicide of his own half-brother.
Depute fiscal Aga Mathieson told the court: "Around 7pm the accused attended the locus where a female witness opened the door and he asked her to see 'John' and said he wanted to speak to him but was told he was not there.
"The accused thereafter entered the property and was shouting 'where is he?'
"The man 'John' was at that point hiding behind a bedroom door.
"The female complainer phoned the police at that point and the accused heard that and made his way out of the property.
"He threw a smoke bomb and then left the property.
"When the female observed that, she located the item, wrapped it in a small piece of fabric and threw it outside."
Jackson Bateman, defending, said: "The item was thrown while he was in the room and no medical attention or anything of that nature was required.
"It was unpleasant, upsetting, a nuisance and totally unacceptable.
"A financial dispute over money given to this individual had happened as background to this and he totally regrets this, he knew the man and believed he was being ignored by him."
The lawyer also told the court Haddow had been attending a drugs course while in prison.
Sheriff McIntyre said: "You were inside someone's home, let off a smoke bomb and were abusive.
"You also have a terrible, terrible record of previous convictions."
Serial thug Haddow, of Hamilton, has a string of violent crimes on his record including the killing of Stephen Gormley in Cambuslang in April 2010.
He was aged just 17 when he attacked Gormley, 32, over comments he had made about his dead baby the day after he had saved his life when he became unwell and stopped breathing.
Haddow was originally charged with murder but pled guilty to the lesser charge and was jailed for four years and three months.
