A Lanarkshire songstress has announced the details of her new band's debut album.
Carla Easton is one half of Poster Paints, who will release their self titled first record on October 14 this year.
Comprising Carla and former Frightened Rabbit member Simon Liddell, the duo create warm, dreamy guitar pop calling to mind Scottish greats like Teenage Fanclub and Camera Obscura.
The Carluke singer has previously released records under her own name and as part of pop band Teen Canteen, and is excited at her latest project.
She said told Lanarkshire Live : "The project started as an accident before the pandemic kicked off. Si had sent me an instrumental for a piece he had scored for a short film and asked if I could put some vocals on it.
"I completely misunderstood what he was asking me to do and wrote an entire song to the piece of music and emailed it back to him. When harsh lockdowns kicked in, we both decided we would try and do some more songs like this.
"It was a way to keep collaborating when you couldn't even go for a walk outside with someone from another household never mind be in a rehearsal room with someone."
The band's creative streak flourished, while they have already supported the likes of Belle & Sebastian, Admiral Fallow and Teenage Fanclub.
Last year debut single Number 1 was released, and now they have brought out new song Falling Down.
Carla added: "This song was a bit of a writing experiment. Si sent me the track which is 3 minutes of summer guitar pop. I had recently been doing a lot of free writing in the morning, where you write non-stop without thinking, and the only rule is to fill three pages of your notebook.
"I had ended up down a route recalling an ill-fated attempt to get what I want one hot summer and subsequently falling from grace, splitting my shin open in the process.
"But I never gave up. It’s a relentless three minutes of chasing dreams born from the uncensored pages of my notebook."
For their album, the two-piece have called upon a few friends to help, with contributions from Graeme Smillie from Arab Strap, Suse Bear from Pictish Trail and Andy Monaghan from Frightened Rabbit amongst others.
The band have also announced a small run of shows for later in the year, including a date at Glasgow's Broadcast on September 17 alongside indie band Coach Party.
