A Lanarkshire school has been left devastated following the death of a "much-loved" English teacher.
Tributes have poured in for Deborah Coulter, a staff member at St Andrew's and St Bride's High School in East Kilbride, who passed away suddenly over the weekend.
Letters were sent out on Sunday to inform parents of the tragedy and offer pupil support and counselling, East Kilbride News reports.

Headteacher Fiona Mullen described the tragedy as an "enormous shock" to staff across the school.
School chaplain Father Frank held a Mass for Ms Coulter as children returned to school on Monday and are also offering support to staff and pupils.
Paying tribute, Fiona Mullen said: "The whole school community is deeply saddened by the loss of our friend, colleague and teacher Deborah Coulter.
"She was a much-loved and valued member of the team here at St Andrew's and St Bride's and our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
"Father Frank, our school chaplain, will continue to work very closely with our community, along with representatives from the council's psychological services team, and our own pupil support and counselling team, to offer support and space when and wherever needed.
"If any child needs any additional support, parents and carers can contact the school and a member of staff will be in touch with them.
"The family will need privacy in order to grieve at this sad time."
