Coltness High School hosted pupils from across all eight secondary schools in the Wishaw, Shotts and Motherwell area for a Higher Psychology conference.
Around 100 young people attended the day long conference discussing all things Psychology and sharing their experiences.
Coltness High headteacher John McGilp declared the event a huge success.
He said: “I was thoroughly delighted to see after COVID as many pupils from other schools back in the building and socialising with each other over and above the learning intentions of the Psychology seminar.
“This event is a good lesson in life skills as this is exactly the type of scenario our young people will be faced with when they leave school and join colleges or universities next year.”
Pupils were also delighted with the day’s events.
Coltness High pupil Kayla Rasmussen said: “It was great to have the opportunity to learn and socialise with other pupils in the North Lanarkshire area.
“I was proud that Coltness was given the opportunity to host such an amazing experience.”
And Devon Donaldson, from St Aidan’s High, added: “It was a great opportunity to meet like-minded, ambitious pupils from other schools in our area and discuss our shared interest for psychology, as well as having a great time.”
