Lanarkshire restaurants triumph at Scottish Curry Awards

A number of Lanarkshire restaurants have been named among the best curry houses in Scotland.

Local food joints are celebrating after collecting top gongs in last night's Scottish Curry Awards 2022.

The event recognises the hard work, determination, impeccable service and efforts of the best curry establishments and professionals in the country that create and serve delicious dishes at an excellent standard.

And among the winners were five restaurants and takeaways in the Lanarkshire region.

They stepped up to claim their prize at the black tie ceremony held at the Glasgow Mariott Hotel.

Presented with the award for Outstanding Indian Takeaway of the Year was The Original Mr Chef.

The local curry joint has takeaways in Uddingston and Hamilton, and they are no stranger to national acclaim, as they have proved popular for a number of years.
