A man told police he hated social media after being caught in a sting set up by a paedophile vigilante group.
Barry Gorman, 42, contacted youngsters aged 12 and 14 on Facebook and struck up conversations with them.
But he was unaware he was communicating with adults working undercover with a group known as Stop UK.

He bombarded both accounts with sleazy and depraved messages despite being told repeatedly they were under the age of 16.
In one text he claimed 'age is just a number' before adding 'you are young enough to be my daughter'.
One girl then received an explicit image of Gorman as his inappropriate contact continued.
Members of the group attempted to go to his home address but had been given the wrong details so contacted police.
He was later arrested and told police: "I think I know what this is about, I hate social media."
When questioned by officers he claimed he had 'blacked out' after downing alcohol but could not explain why the messages had been sent from his phone.
Gorman, of Blantyre, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted indecently contacting both decoys in September last year.
Depute fiscal Rebecca Clark said: "Both women work in decoy roles for a group known as Stop UK.
"One is a decoy aged 14 on Facebook using an image of a young girl, while the other uses the name of a 12-year-old girl with an image of a young girl on Facebook.
"They received friend requests from the accused and messages were exchanged."
The prosecutor added: "The group who were contacting the accused attended at what they believed to be his home address but when they attended that address it was not correct.
"They then contacted the police who made contact with the accused and were able to attend at his address.
"He was arrested and cautioned and stated 'I think I know what this is about, I hate social media too'.
"He was questioned about sending messages to a 12 and 14-year-old but he said he did not do this and said he blacked out through alcohol intoxication and reiterated he did not send any messages to a child."
Sheriff John Hamilton KC deferred sentence on Gorman until July for reports and continued bail.
Gorman was placed on the sex offenders' register.
