An East Kilbride museum has launched an initiative to help families connect with nature this summer.
The National Museum of Rural Life based at Kittochside, are launching a fantastic new scheme.
Its Nature Track Packs are supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
They are free for visitors with admission or an annual pass.
Each pack will contain activities that encourage children to connect with nature and enjoy spending time outside this summer.
General manager Shirley MacIver told us: “We’re delighted to offer families an exciting new way to engage with nature thanks to the generous support of players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
"We hope our Nature Track Packs will help young visitors to learn more about the beautiful countryside around the National Museum of Rural Life.”
Nature Track Packs are available to borrow on a first come, first served basis over the summer – just ask on arrival at the ticket desk, then return the pack to the desk once your Track Pack adventure is complete.
You can also pick up a copy of the Bird Bingo trail to see how many birds you can spot hiding around the museum galleries.
