A local MP recently visited a local food bank collection point.
Marion Fellows, SNP MP for Motherwell and Wishaw, spoke with volunteers at Tesco Extra in Wishaw last week.
Donations are distributed locally by The Trussell Trust, including to Wishaw Foodbank.
On top of this, Tesco will also be topping up donations by 20 per cent of their cash value.
Marion Fellows said: "It was good to speak to volunteer Judith and staff on Friday.
"People's generosity makes such a difference in the face of rising costs of living.
"Volunteers like Judith are standing at the collection point to let customers know which items are needed most.
"Please donate, if you can, to help those in our community who are struggling."
