A Larkhall man has been remanded in custody after he was convicted of torching a woman's car and putting her life in danger.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that Liam Bradburn targeted the BMW after a row with the woman nine days earlier.
The car was badly damaged and the flames spread to the front door of her home in an area of Stonehouse.
Bradburn, 28, of Dukes Court, denied wilful fireraising on August 16, 2020, but a jury found him guilty.
He was also convicted of threatening or abusive behaviour outside the house on the earlier occasion.
The court heard that tempers flared when Bradburn went to the woman's home for a discussion about money. At one point he allegedly called her a grass.
Bradburn claimed she was verbally abusive to him and denied returning to the house late at night and setting fire to her car.
He lodged a special defence of alibi, but prosecutor Aga Mathieson said there was evidence that his phone was in the vicinity at the the time of the fire attack.
A neighbour told the court she saw a man she recognised as Bradburn running from the scene.
Ms Mathieson told the jury: "She didn't have problems with anyone else. The accused was the only person with a motive for this attack."
After the guilty verdicts, Sheriff Thomas Millar deferred sentence until October 31 for background reports.
Bradburn, who had been on bail, was remanded in custody.
