A Cambuslang estate agent is donating a percentage of its profits to charity.
Hemmings Homes, which has offices in both Cambuslang and Motherwell, are donating some sales profits to the Beatson Cancer Charity.
A spokeswoman for the firm told Lanarkshire Live how both offices joined together in partnership with the Beatson to help out.
She told us : "Due to the property market booming at the moment, we have decided to give something back.
"The idea came around at a team meeting, all seven staff from our Cambuslang and Motherwell offices were in straight agreement.
“We plan to raise £22,000 for 2022 for the charity.
"We plan to give a certain amount of our sales fee from every sale that completes this year as well as planning to do other events and challenges. We’re looking into doing one of the kilt walks in the summer as well as a team hike to Tinto.
“We’ve also booked a charity ball for October and hope to raise as many funds as we can by doing raffles and auctions.”
The charity auction has been planned for Friday, October 7 and the office is currently selling tickets to individuals as well as companies, who are also able to buy tables at the ball.
The spokeswoman added: “We’ve just been so busy because of the way the property market is.
"We discussed a few charities but decided on the Beatson because everyone knew it.
“Right now in the housing market, everything is going over closing dates and putting in offers over the home reports.
“This is the very first year that we have done it and we hope that we can hit our target. We’ve been talking about setting up a Go Fund Me page as well."
A Beatson Cancer Charity spokesperson told us: “We are so grateful Hemmings Homes are donating a percentage of each house sold in 2022 to our charity.
“This is an incredible contribution, which will help us to support cancer patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.
"Not only is the business supporting us through house sales, but also by holding several fundraising activities too. We cannot thank them enough.”
