A Lanarkshire doctor's surgery has raised money for charity with their walking skills.
Staff from Silverbank Surgery in Cambuslang took part in the Kiltwalk on Sunday, April 24.
All money raised from the walk was donated to Glasgow Children's Charity.
Nicola Wilson, the practice manager of the surgery, told Lanarkshire Live: “The staff from the surgery took part and our patients sponsored us.
“It was lovely that the community came together to support such a good cause and we would like to thank the patients for their support.
“One of our doctors is a keen outdoorsman who enjoys walking and he thought the Kiltwalk would be an enjoyable outing for the practice team and a great way to involve the community.
“The walk was held at Loch Lomond and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The people there was amazing, and they were all supporting different charities.
“We were lucky to see Sir Tom Hunter giving his speech at the start of the event and of course his pledge of a 50 per cent top up on what everyone raised was so generous.”
Nicola Sturgeon was also in attendance at the Kiltwalk to show her support and to take part.
The surgery presented Glasgow Children's Charity with a cheque of £1225 on Monday, May 23.
Nicola added: “Glasgow Children Charity has always been close to our hearts, all of us having children who have attended at least once in their lifetime.
"The charity does so much good for the children of Glasgow and even some of our younger patients. We see the benefit of the charity and think the NHS staff and all the volunteers involved with Glasgow Children's Hospital are just phenomenal.
“We would like to thank all our patients for their continued support.”
