A Lanarkshire doctor is on trial accused of more than 80 sex offences against women and girls.
Krishna Singh, from Airdrie, faces a list of alleged crimes said to have occurred between 1983 and 2018.
They are mainly claimed to have happened at medical practices in North Lanarkshire.
One accusation allegedly took place in the accident and emergency department of a hospital.
The charges include indecent and sexual assault, as well as acting in a lewd and libidinous manner.
Among the claims, it is alleged Singh did get women to stand on scales before molesting them.
The 72-year-old is also accused of kissing females and making inappropriate comments, while a stethoscope is said to have been used in a number of the accusations.
Singh denied the allegations at the High Court in Glasgow back in June 2019.
His lawyer Janice Green told the court he pleads not guilty to all 84 charges.
Jurors were then read the charges by judge Lord Armstrong.
He later told them: “It’s going to be a lengthy trial, but allowing for some generous estimates, the best estimates I can give you is this trial will last about eight weeks.
“There are 84 charges and a woman will speak to each of those charges.”
Agreed evidence - known as a joint minute - was read to the jury by prosecutor Angela Gray.
It was stated that Singh obtained his medical degree in Patna, India, in 1974 before being registered as a doctor in London in November 1976.
The document said Singh took up a post at a surgery in Coatbridge in 1983, where he remained until 2018.
Other work carried out by Singh included being a police casualty surgeon, working with people in custody as well as alleged victims of crime.
The document states that the police investigation began after NHS Lanarkshire received a complaint from one of the alleged victims in February 2018.
It was agreed that five of the alleged victims gave birth to children between 1990 and 2004.
The trial continues and Singh remains on bail.
