Straight off the back of a huge production at Glasgow's OVO Hydro, Lanarkshire lad Fraser Stuart is preparing to further define Scottish techno.
Fraser, who goes by the moniker of Frazi.er, will take to the stage at Glasgow's SWG3 for a production bigger than the venue has ever seen before.
The new concept, TRANSPARENCY, will showcase a futuristic visual show alongside high intensity music to create a unique clubbing experience.
The shows will run over two nights on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29.
The Carnwath DJ says bringing his light show from the Hydro to SWG3 will be a huge task, with the capacity around 10,000 smaller there - but Fraser says he is up for the challenge.
Fraser told Lanarkshire Live : "It’s a huge task because you’ve already set the standards pretty high.
"But the good thing about bringing it to a warehouse is you can make the production design more compact using more screens on the wall and adding lights to all parts of the room.
"It’s highly important to have a unique light show to create a stronger focus on the night. It makes you feel more connected to the music and releases a stronger presence of escapism.
"Going clubbing is a release from your day-to-day stress, if there was no production in place your mind would struggle to switch off.
"I wanted to create this fresh concept to keep it exciting and take things up a level from my previous tube light installations. We are already planning to use this concept across the UK, Amsterdam, Germany and Belgium.
"For the Saturday show at SWG3, I will be bringing some of my favourite international artists with myself closing and the Sunday will be a six-hour Frazi.er ‘all day long’ set which will showcase a more groovy side to my sound."
Fraser is used to pushing boundaries, having just headlined the Hydro arena in what was one of Scotland's biggest techno events.
Having been pushed back two months due to coronavirus restrictions, expectations paid off and the DJ said it was a true success.
He said: "On the lead up to the event it’s actually the most stressed I’ve ever been, no matter how hard I tried to stay relaxed there was just too much going on.
"In terms of the production, my set, and overall show itself it couldn’t have gone much better and blew all expectations.
"This now makes the next one even more exciting, and with the work involved in the show it’s hard to justify doing one day, so later in the year it will be over two days with a bigger line up and have an even bigger production install."
