It's not every day you can say you have been married for 60 years.
But this month, Billy, 83, and Moira, 82, Wilkie celebrated their Diamond wedding anniversary.
The couple, who are from Motherwell but now stay in Netherton, had their special day on August 4.
The couple first met when they were 17 at the Boys Brigade dance in the local church. They married on August 4 1962 at Motherwell South Parish Church.
During their lives, Bily worked for some time as a policeman while Moira worked for the local authority at the Civic Centre.
The couple has two children, Craig 59 and Leslie 55. They have no grandkids.
Memories from their married life include going on many holidays, something they still enjoy now. They recently arrived back from a holiday in Jersey.
They used to have a caravan where they would take the kids when they were young, but one fond memory is when they went on a big trip across the west coast of America.
Speaking about the secrets to a long and happy marriage, Moira told Lanarkshire Live : "We have always got on so well and we are very similar people.
"We love the same things, like going on holiday, and have rarely had a falling out."
Depute Provost Anne Thomas visited the couple to congratulate them on their Diamond anniversary.
She presented the couple with a card, flowers and cufflinks from herself and the people of North Lanarkshire Council. Gavin Whitefield Vice Lord Lieutenant also attended.
