A Lanarkshire care home has been taken over, with the facility set for a modernisation programme and new staff to be recruited.
The 60-bed Kingsgate Care Home in East Kilbride has been bought over by Cambuslang-based Keane Premier Group after they received a loan from Barclays of £1.2 million.
Modernisation of the home will begin with a new name, Ryan Meadows Care Home, and an additional 12 staff will be recruited to the existing cohort of 39.
Barclays has now supported Keane Premier Group with over £4.5 million of funding since 2016.
The family-run firm now boasts a total of six care homes across the group, plus additional home care services.
They include Dunvegan Lodge and Georgia Park Care Homes in Cambuslang and Duncraggan in Rutherglen.
Kingsgate Care home - previously owned by Larchwood Care - currently offers short and long term care for elderly residents including those with dementia.
