An award winning Lanarkshire butchers has continued its success with another two gongs.
James Chapman Butchers, which has stores in Wishaw, Motherwell, Carluke and Cleland, had success in the recent Scottish Craft Butcher Awards evaluation for Naked Steak and Gourmet Pastry products that were judged at Forth Valley College in August.
Chapman’s success came with a silver award for their Dry Aged Sirloin Steak and silver for Pinwheels in the Gourmet pastry products.
Director Jamie Chapman told Lanarkshire Live : “We have purchased cattle from the same farms for many years, some over 50 years. This ensures we get a consistent quality product for our customers.”
The awards were presented at the recent regional meeting in the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew held by the event organisers, Scottish Craft Butchers.
Tom Courts, president of the Scottish Craft Butchers, added “We run these evaluations not just to award excellence but to underline the diverse product range that Scottish Craft Butchers offer.
“Local butchers are the specialist in our field and with customers becoming more adventurous with their tastes they are always seeking out the assurance of provenance that shopping at a specialist provides.”
