A Lanarkshire band have hit the top spot in the charts, storming in at No.1 in the Scottish Chart and entering the UK Top 40 for the first time.
Tinto-based brothers Stevie and Alan Jukes of Saint Phnx were delighted to learn they had slid into the Top 40 at number 39 with their hit song Happy Place , from their debut EP of the same name.
Their song Happy Place , which features the sound of bagpipes, is a tribute to the pair's father, Bertie, who passed away last year and was an inspiration to his sons.
And the pair, originally of Wishaw, were also delighted to hit the top spot in the Scottish Album chart in memory their dad, having been sitting at number 13 midweek with superstars like Adele and Ed Sheeran ahead of them.
They said: "We did it. Number 39 in the UK Official Top 40 and also a Scottish No.1.
"Our hearts are smiling. Thank you to every single person for their support these last few weeks. We couldn’t have done it without you!
"To our amazing team, we love you and thank you for believing in us.
"Bertie this is for you."
Last week, in a heartfelt tweet, the boys revealed their mum had emailed Lorraine Kelly to ask if she would plug them on her show.
And the Scots star came through as she responded saying their song "sounds amazing".
Their mum wrote: "My boys Stevie and Alan - Saint PHNX released their song Angel this week and their song is in the charts, which is unbelievable.
"The song is a tribute to their dad (my husband) who sadly died during COVID.
"Yesterday they were at 13 in the iTunes chart but of course they're up against the big boys and girls, Ed Sheeran, Adele etc. and they need your help.
"They have just added a version which includes the bagpipes, which sounds phenomenal. I know you're busy, but I'm asking if you could take a few minutes of your time and give them a listen.
"I know their story will resonate with many of your viewers both young and old.
"They're Scottish, they're smart and they're funny, please give them a chance and have them on your show."
The boys asked fans to retweet the message to help Lorraine see it, and she responded saying she was "checking it out".
Stevie and Alan were also number three in the Download Album Chart and number nine in the Album Sales Chart, which comprises physical and downloads.
They added: "This journey has been full of ups and downs but this will live with us forever."
As well as the release of their debut EP last week, they have also just dropped their second song, Angel.
