Lana Del Rey has responded to the rumours that she’s dating an alligator tour guide named Jeremy Dufrene.
Although the rumours were widely reported last week, Lana took to the comments on a post about her new flame by a small media outlet called Just N Life to set the record straight.
“Further details about Lana Del Rey’s latest boyfriend, Jeremy, have been revealed,” the post read. It was accompanied by a Tweet from the X (formerly Twitter) user who claimed to be Jeremy’s daughter.
But Lana wasn’t having it.
“No,” Lana wrote in the comments — simple, elegant, efficient.
“Also, that’s not his daughter on Twitter.”
Whether the “no” is referring to the updates or the romance itself, the “Summertime Sadness” singer didn’t specify.
In case you missed it, in late August rumours began circulating that Lana had a new man in her life after the pair were spotted holding hands at the Leeds Festival in the UK, getting bevvies in a local pub and shopping together in Harrods.
In fact, sneaky pics and footage of Lana and Jeremy together began popping up on TikTok and the r/lanadelrey subreddit.
But shit really hit the fan when an X user named Xanthia (@strnrtn) claimed that Jeremy was her dad and only found out that he was dating Lana through posts on X.
In a thread, Xanthia shared how she supposedly texted her dad, confronting him about his new famous girlfriend.
“IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO TELL ME? LANA DEL FUCKING REY????? YOU JUST LEFT MOM A FEW WEEKS AGO??????? IS THIS WHY??? WHAT THE FUCK DAD?”, he replied in the most nonchalant way.
“Oh, yeah. Meant to tell you,” he said.
Xanthia also claimed that Jeremy had left her mum “officially a few weeks ago” and that they don’t have a good relationship.
However — now that Miss Lana has weighed in — it seems like Xanthia was taking us all on a bit of a ride and is not Jeremy’s daughter. Boo!
Despite the cheeky lies from the X user, it still seems like Lana and Jeremy are an item. And to that I say, go live your alligator daddy dreams, baby!!!!!
