A man who was being driven in a Lamborghini has been shot in a drive-by attack.
Police said the man, 20, was travelling in a black Lamborghini when shots were fired in its direction.
The victim then fled the scene and got into a white Rolls-Royce before making off with two people who were already inside and called the emergency services.
The incident unfolded in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, at around 2am on Monday.
The victim was taken to hospital in an ambulance and has suffered "serious injuries", a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said.
The white Rolls-Royce also had gunshot damage, but the other two occupants were unharmed, the force said.
The Lamborghini was later recovered and had also suffered gunshot damage.
A cordon is in place as crime scene investigators comb the area for clues.
Detective Superintendent Paul Murphy said: "I know how distressing and worrying this incident will be for the local community and that of the wider Sheffield community.
"Please know that our investigation continues at pace and we have a dedicated team of officers working tirelessly to establish the exact circumstances of what took place this morning that led to a man being seriously injured.
"Our officers remain in the area to carry out their work, and additional patrols are in place."
