The chief executive of Lambeth council has been charged with drug and drink driving offences after allegedly fleeing the scene of a car accident.
Bayo Dosunmu was arrested on Sunday in central London, the Metropolitan Police confirmed. The 46-year-old, from Hammersmith, is accused of failing to stop after a road accident, being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, possession of class A drugs and driving without insurance.
