Anthony Davis just completed arguably the best season of his basketball life. He averaged 24.7 points on 55.6% shooting, 12.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.3 blocked shots a game, and even better, he played in a career-high 76 regular season games.
This month, he has been turning heads as a member of Team USA basketball. Even though he has been coming off the bench for head coach Steve Kerr, he has made a major impact in the squad’s three exhibition games so far, especially defensively and on the boards.
It led former Laker and two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom to make a big declaration about how Davis will do in the 2024-25 season.
Big fella might have an MVP like season if he stays healthy!! https://t.co/xdpTbC2aMH

The Lakers have a new head coach in JJ Redick who has said he was to involve Davis more offensively and use the superstar big man as a “hub” offensively. Given how Davis didn’t get the ball at times in the fourth quarter, especially in the playoffs versus the Denver Nuggets, perhaps he could be set for somewhat of a bump in his scoring output.
