There has been a lot of talk about The G.O.A.T. (The Greatest of All-Time) this Baltimore Ravens preseason.
First, head coach John Harbaugh told the media that he had a divine vision of Lamar Jackson someday becoming the greatest quarterback ever to play the game.
When asked about this Harbaugh quote, Jackson said that Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T.
Now Brady, along with Peyton Manning, another quarterback often in G.O.A.T. conversation, is listed as one of the top five quarterbacks in the league.
Brady listed Jackson third, behind only Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.
Manning slotted Lamar forth behind Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert.
Jackson brought up this topic, and he provided a very animated response.
“That’s crazy,” the reigning MVP responded.
“That’s dope, especially coming from those guys.
“Those [are] guys who [are] on top of the Mount Rushmore [of quarterbacks] right now, for me at least. That’s great – that’s great to hear that from the GOATs.”
Jackson, 27, already has two MVP awards, but he won’t be in the G.O.A.T. discussion until he wins a Super Bowl.
