Seems like this is the week for logjams to break in the NFL.
First, Aaron Rodgers was traded by the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets.
And on Thursday, the stalemate between Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens came to a conclusion.
The teams have agreed to a rich, long-term contract extension … as in 5 years for $260 million. This tops Jalen Hurts’ recent $255 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jackson, who acted as his own agent, is the highest-paid player in NFL history.
Now, that’s the kind of confidence in oneself a coach needs from his quarterback.
And John Harbaugh has to love it.
