Lakhimpur Kheri court denies bail to Mohammed Zubair

BAREILLY: The court of additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) Ruchi Srivastava on Saturday denied bail to Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair in a case filed in Lakhimpur Kheri for allegedly "promoting enmity" through a tweet.

"The accused habitually shares inflammatory tweets which...led to a riot-like situation, as per witness statements," the court said, according to senior prosecution officer (SPO) SP Yadav.
