As if things couldn’t get worse for the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis looked to have suffered a rough ankle injury in Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz.
Davis went up to catch a lob but landed awkwardly on his left ankle. He immediately grabbed it and started to roll around in pain, and the replay did not look good for how much time he could possibly miss. His entire left ankle bent on the court.
The stretcher came out for Davis as teammates helped him off the floor. Davis could not walk off under his own power, and he’ll presumably be out for the rest of the game as his status is determined.
Davis had posted 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting along with two rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 17 minutes.
