Lakers: LeBron James may not play Wednesday vs. Houston Rockets

LeBron James’ troublesome left knee is acting up again, and it caused him to miss the Los Angeles Lakers’ contest against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.

The team was hopeful he would be able to play Wednesday against the Houston Rockets, but he is listed as questionable for that game.

In James’ last game, he scored 56 points, his high as a Laker, to power his team to a 124-116 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Without him, L.A. struggled against the Spurs, as it was forced to roll out multiple small lineups, some of which consisted of four guards on the court.

It simply wasn’t enough. Even though the Lakers did a relatively admirable job of competing, especially after falling behind by as many as 14, they ultimately fell short, 117-110.

The Rockets may have the worst record in the Western Conference, but if James doesn’t suit up Wednesday, the Lakers could be ripe for yet another loss.

The Purple and Gold are still in ninth place in the West, but the team only has a one-game cushion over the 10th-place New Orleans Pelicans.
