There are about three months to go before the 2024-25 preseason will start, which means Los Angeles Lakers fans will have to wait before they can start to see how the team’s roster will fare this coming season. However, they will be able to get a glimpse of some of the Lakers’ young players very soon.
The Lakers will begin summer league play this Saturday when they will participate in the California Classic. Their summer league roster will have some players who fans will be eager to see play, including 2024 draft picks Dalton Knecht and Bronny James, 2023 second-round pick Maxwell Lewis and 2023 undrafted free agent signing Colin Castleton.

Unfortunately, Jalen Hood-Schifino, the Indiana University guard whom the Lakers took in the first round of last year’s draft, isn’t on their summer league roster. He had back surgery in March, and he hasn’t recovered enough to be able to play right now.
