Lake District Best Western hotel handed £3.7m price tag

A Lake District hotel that operates as part of the Best Western consortium has been put up for sale.

The Castle Inn Hotel in Bassenthwaite has hit the market with an asking price of £3.75m.

The move comes after the hotel was also up for sale in January 2020 for £3.25m.

The hotel, which is being marketed by Colliers, has 45 bedrooms as well as a bar, restaurant, leisure club and indoor swimming pool.

There is also approved planning permission for a new block for 33 bedrooms.

According to the Rightmove listing, the hotel's revenue for 2022 totalled almost £1.5m and a net profit of over £650,000.
