Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Ladd McConkey is already being quite productive for the Los Angeles Chargers. McConkey hauled in a contested touchdown catch in the first quarter to give the Chargers a 7-0 lead against the Kansas City Chiefs.
McConkey showed excellent body control on his seven yard touchdown catch. McConkey, who was a second round pick in the 2024 NFL draft, had 10 receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown in his NFL career entering Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel was very impressed with McConkey’s touchdown. “Ladd McConkey and Justin Herbert may be the best throw and catch of the year so far,” said Daniel via social media.
“Ladd McConkey just made one of the best catches you will see all year,” said a fan on social media. McConkey did not generate a bunch of separation, but he showed excellent concentration to haul in the grab.
Here’s a look at McConkey’s impressive touchdown catch.
