Lack of facilities: Kerala HC relief for Kannur Medical College students

KOCHI: Considering a writ petition filed by six students — who completed MBBS from Kannur Medical College (KMC) — seeking to transfer their compulsory rotating mandatory internship to government hospitals citing lack of facilities at the private institution in Anjarakandy, the high court passed an interim order on Tuesday directing National Medical Commission (NMC) and Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) to submit areport.

The court directed them to consider the transfer of all students pursuing the course by saying that the issue involved great public interest.
