Labour pledges to overhaul ‘broken’ ferry system for islanders with merger

Scottish Labour has pledged to overhaul the "broken system" affecting islanders by merging key ferry bodies to "cut bureaucracy".

Party leader Anas Sarwar will visit the Stornoway ferry terminal on the Isle of Lewis on Monday. His visit aims to highlight issues facing the country’s west coast ferry fleet and detail Labour's plans ahead of May’s election.
