Labour leadership hopeful speaks out about dying mother’s ‘fear’ in shared ward

Scottish Labour leadership hopeful Michael Marra told how his dying mother had to share a hospital ward with a “mentally troubled” man who had a “history of violence”.

Mr Marra, who is up against fellow MSP Joe Fagan to be the next leader of the Scottish Labour Party, spoke about his late mother’s plight and said he was “fully supportive” of a Supreme Court ruling on gender.
