About 50 Labour MPs have reportedly signed a letter objecting to the decision to block Andy Burnham from standing in an upcoming by-election.
They have written to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to warn the controversial decision by Labour’s ruling National Executive Committee (NEC) could be a “real gift” to Reform UK, which is hopeful of winning the vote in the Manchester seat of Gorton and Denton.
