LABOUR’S proposals to import more gas from abroad have sparked fury as Westminster was accused of backing “higher carbon” overseas fossil fuels over Scottish jobs.

The UK Government is considering plans to import more liquefied natural gas (LNG), including the option of investing in a giant ship capable of storing liquefied gas and heating it back into gas to supply the energy system.
