NSW Labor has accused the Liberal Party of hypocrisy for inviting controversial MP Mark Latham to a fundraising event.

The one-time federal Labor leader turned Pauline Hanson One Nation member is scheduled to appear at a $110 per head fundraising dinner next month, along with Northern Territory senator Jacinta Price.

Labor deputy Prue Car accused the NSW Liberals of tacitly endorsing Mr Latham's 'dog-whistle' language, despite earlier calling him racist and divisive.

"And yet today the NSW Liberal Party website is proudly advertising Mark Latham headlining a Liberal party fundraiser in three weeks' time....how could you possibly defend such absolute hypocrisy?" she asked Treasurer Matt Kean in parliament.

Mr Kean fired back saying "racism has no place in Australian society".

"I will do whatever it takes as a member of this place to make sure that we stamp it out", he told parliament before accusing Labor of also associating with "questionable people" within its ranks.

Labor's indictment comes a day after Mr Kean accused the NSW opposition of "taking cues from One Nation and Pauline Hanson".
