Labor focuses on wages but avoids target

Thousands of union members have marched through Brisbane for Labour Day, as Labor promised higher wages and more secure jobs if Anthony Albanese becomes prime minister.

"Solidarity forever" and "When the saints go marching in" were the soundtrack at the Brisbane showgrounds as unionists and Mr Albanese addressed the raucous crowd.
