Anyone who follows NFL will know Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke also owns the Rams, and his side's victory has only served to shine further light on the Gunners' lack of success in recent years.
Kroenke isn't exactly loved by the Arsenal fanbase and is regularly lambasted for his supposed lack of footballing awareness.
However, the LA Rams' victory could give Kroenke the incentive to invest more of his resources into building a winning team at the Emirates Stadium and that would be bad news for Manchester United.
Both Arsenal and the Rams have adopted similar strategies in recent years.
Kroenke hired a very young head coach in Sean McVay to lead the Rams back in 2017 and his decision now looks to be something of a masterstroke.
Like McVay, Arteta was also something of a rookie boss when he was appointed by Kroenke at Arsenal and so there are plenty of similarities between the two teams.
There are also similarities in the way Arsenal and the Rams operate. Both concentrate on youth when recruiting new players as they look to build for the future.
United have a very, erm, different strategy.
United brought Tom Heaton, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo into the club in the summer, with only one of their new arrivals under the age of 28.
It's clear that United are desperate for immediate success, though things haven't quite panned out as hoped. Meanwhile, Arsenal are building for the future and could be a huge threat to United's hopes of bringing the halcyon days back to Old Trafford.
Not only are Arsenal seemingly better prepared for the years ahead, Kroenke's Super Bowl victory means he could now be desperate to see Arsenal succeed and may hand Mikel Arteta all of the tools needed to ensure he can add a Premier League-winning team to his CV alongside Super Bowl winners.
The Super Bowl might have just been a few hours of diluted rugby with a concert at half-time to some, but the implications of the result could well impact United in the future.
