La Original Banda El Limón Releases 'Señora Presidenta,' A Corrido Dedicated to Kamala Harris Featuring Kate del Castillo.

La Original Banda El Limón de Sergio Lizárraga made history today with the release of their new corrido, 'Señora Presidenta,' a song dedicated to Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris. With the song, the band officially endorse the Democratic candidate in the upcoming general election on November 5.

The track, released in collaboration with Mexican actress Kate del Castillo, pays tribute to the "humble beginnings" of the White House hopeful from the Democratic Party, highlighting her immigrant roots.

"We're thrilled to announce the release of 'Señora Presidenta,' an original corrido by La Original Banda El Limón 🍋! For nearly 60 years, Banda El Limón has shared stories of love, heartbreak, and the strength of our people through their music—and now, they tell the story of the next President of the U.S. This song is a celebration of our resilience, unity, and the power of our community," the band announced on social media.

'Señora Presidenta''s Values

"We're honored to release this corrido not only in support of Vice President Harris but also for our community," said Juan Barboza, leader of Banda El Limón, to *Rolling Stone* magazine. "Our culture, traditions, and music are beautiful and powerful, just like our community."

"We hope that, in these final moments (of the presidential race), the song inspires our community to embrace our strength and be present at this critical moment. This song reflects the values of our community and our vision for a future where people matter."

The corrido tells Kamala Harris' life story and expresses the band's hope that she wins the election. "We admire you for who you are, an incredible leader," sings Banda El Limón. "She's been fighting for a better future and for the people."

La Original Banda El Limón is not the first Mexican band to support the Democratic candidate; Los Tigres del Norte and other regional Mexican artists, like Chiquis, have also shown their support. Alejandro Fernández publicly expressed outrage against a social media post claiming that Vicente Fernández supported Republican candidate Donald Trump, and Maná removed their collaboration with Nicky Jam from social media, stating, "We don't work with racists."

The list of Latino artists supporting Kamala is long and includes Hollywood figures like Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, America Ferrera, Jessica Alba, and many more, including Marc Anthony.
