LA Clippers president of basketball operations expressed disappointment with USA Basketball's decision to replace Kawhi Leonard on the Olympic team roster. Leonard, who had been recovering from a right knee injury, was replaced by Derrick White. Frank clarified that Leonard did not suffer a setback and was fully participating in practices.
Leonard had missed the end of the regular season due to knee inflammation but had been working to get ready for the Olympics. Despite Leonard's efforts to prepare, USA Basketball decided to go in a different direction, citing concerns about his knee.
