Kyogo reveals Celtic Treble desire as hitman fires warning over 'tough' Rangers in semi-final

Kyogo admits everyone at Celtic wants the Treble by the end of the season but that next weekend's clash with Rangers will be 'tough'.

The Japanese hitman has had his best season since arriving as a relative unknown entity as Ange Postecoglou began to build his Celtic machine. Kyogo couldn't get on target against Motherwell as the forward remains on an impressive 29 goals in all competitions this campaign and scored back-to-back crucial doubles against rivals Rangers in the Viaplay Cup final and in this month's enthralling 3-2 derby win at Parkhead.

The 28-year-old who has been the subject of media attention in his homeland admits the lure of a trio of trophies is his desire but that the challenge of beating Michael Beale's side again at Hampden won't be an easy feat.

He said: "The Treble is what everyone wants at the end of the season but we can only focus on each game right now. At the end of the season, if we have managed to do it, that would be good.

"I will be happy if I can be a part of a big moment in the club’s history. But we don’t know if that will happen yet, we will only know that at the end of the season once all of the games are finished.

“I am looking forward to it but I am only thinking about working hard in my next game.”

He added on facing Rangers: "It’s going to be a game where we will both attack and it will be very competitive and tight.

“There might be a lot of goals or less because it’s so competitive. Above all, we know it is going to be tough. The game we played against them before was tough. It will be the same this time. I will just work hard and try to help us get the victory.”
