Kyogo Furuhashi admits returning to Celtic after a three-month lay off with injury almost brought tears to his eyes.
The beloved Japanese hitman has been the subject of a FIFA documentary on his time at Parkhead so far as he enjoys a goal glut in the Scottish Premiership having already netted a whopping 26 goals in 39 appearances. Kyogo smashed home a crucial equaliser at Ibrox in January before his brace helped Ange Postecoglou's men to win the Viaplay Cup against rivals Rangers.
The 28-year-old produced Hampden heroics in late 2021 to down Hibs and hand Postecoglou his first trophy as Hoops boss but what followed was an injury that kept him out for the better part of three months. The nifty attacker admits that was a tough period for him and revealed the squad were telling him to 'hurry up and come back'.

Kyogo also insists the wave of support from the Parkhead fans made it all worth it when he stepped back on to the pitch.
Speaking to FIFA, he said: “There’s not much you can do after the fact. The period I was unable to play was really hard but beginning with the coach, the rest of the team told me to stick around the club. Everyone on the team said ‘hurry up and come back’. It really meant a lot and became motivation to work hard and come back as soon as possible."
“I just wanted to play football again. I wanted to be out there with the others and score goals, first and foremost. I realised more than ever that I had been playing with an incredible group of players and surrounded by the most incredible supporters.
"I came on as a substitute, but the level of warmth almost brought tears to my eyes. To feel the love of so many people. I was really happy in that moment."
