Kym Marsh has shared her love for her Striclty Come Dancing dance partner Graziano Di Prima after he showed her support over her latest news. It's been a big day for the former Coronation Street star as she's not only finished one job - she's finished two.
The actress, who played Michelle Connor on the cobbles for 13 years, had her last stint on Morning Live on Friday (March 31) alongside Ashley John-Baptiste. While appearing not to be a permanent exit, it was confirmed that Kym won't be fronting the BBC One show for a while as she heads off to start a new gig.
It was announced last month that Kym and her lookalike daughter Emilie are to star together on stage in Manchester - playing the SAME character in hit Take That musical Greatest Days. The stage show follows a group of boyband fans that we first see as teenagers in the 1990s, and then through to present day when they are in their 40s.
It gives the talented mum and daughter the opportunity to star on stage as the very same chacter at different stages of her life. Kym, 46, will play Rachel, while Emilie, 24, will star as "Young Rachel" in the musical which celebrates the songs and fans of the Manchester-formed band Take That.
Appearing on Friday's morning live, co-host Ashley said: "It's kind of like hello and goodbye for you because you're going on tour..." TO which Kym said: "I am. It's going to be a weird day for me. I am going on tour with my beautiful daughter Emilie... it's going to be a very exciting few months but I'm going to miss my [Morning Live] family very much. But I will be back."
Tweeting a clip from her last show - for now - the BBC One show's Twitter account said: "We're going to miss you Kym @msm4rsh. We wish you great success for the @takethat musical @Greatest_Days tour and will keep the swivel chair warm for when you return."
But that wasn't the only goodbye Kym has to share. Later taking to Instagram with a selfie, Kym confirmed she'd also finished her stint on Waterloo Road. She joined the rebooted BBC One school drama earlier this year as hard-strapped dinner lady Nicky Walters whose two children also attend the school.
"So my Waterloo Road journey is pretty much done," she typed alongside the photo. "What a journey it’s been. So many friends made, so many laughs, so many great memories!! I just want to take the chance to thank everyone behind the scenes for the incredible job they do and for supporting me throughout the journey.
"The writers for writing such a brilliant character, Nicky is epic!! And also costume and makeup for always being so brilliant. Special thanks to my girl @mandyknightmua for painting my face for a whole year, making Nicky come to life when I look like I’ve been dug up at 6.30 in a morning hahah! And for not looking at my eye [crying laughing emoji] (in joke there) Mandy will get it hahah!"
She rounded off her post: "So for now Nicky Walters clocking off! Hopefully back soon!!!" It comes after Kym shared a selfie with her daughter as they prepare for their next big chapter together.
Looking all glam while travelling in a car, the 46-year-old penned: "About to embark on a very special journey with this one! I couldn’t be more proud!!! Let’s smash this @listentoemilie we cannot wait to get started and be a part of such a wonderful company @greatest_days."
And it was her dance partner Graziano, who she competed on Strictly with at the end of last year, who was among the first to comment, simply sharing a string of clapping emojis to which Kym replied: "love you."
