She wowed with her moves on Strictly Come Dancing and Kym Marsh impressed again as she brought back her iconic performance of noughties hit Pure and Simple during a visit to Manchester's famously outspoken diner Karen's. Kym headed to Karen's Diner, known for its deliberately rude service where insults are the norm, with fellow diners including her friend and fellow Coronation Street star Antony Cotton, his partner Peter Eccleston and Kym's husband Scott Ratcliff.
Karen's, which started out in Australia and opened its first Manchester branch in Prestwich last year and earlier this month provided a jokey less-than-warm welcome to The Masked Singer panellist Davina McCall, didn't disappoint in delivering laughs as Kym took to Instagram to say it was a "hysterical night out." The actress, who played Michelle Connor in Corrie and is currently playing dinner lady Nicky Walters in the revived school drama Waterloo Road, was given a hat with a rude message to wear.
And Paul Antony from Karen's shared a video of the star sparking nostalgia as she got up to do the dance to Pure and Simple, her number one record-breaking number with the band Hear'Say from 2001 after they were formed on the ITV talent show Popstars. Pure and Simple became the fastest-selling debut single in the UK at the time, as well as the fastest-selling non-charity single.

Fans loved her performance posted on Paul's social media. Weheartkym said: "The clip I saw of you dancing to pure and simple, so iconic." And team_marshiano_told her: "Loved u dancing kym so amazing."
Praising their fun night out at Karen's she wrote: "Had THE BEST TIME @karensdinerofficial @karensdinerpr If you fancy a hysterical night out, being screamed at and told where to go by the staff, ridiculed for what you wear and generally being abused, then get yourselves down there!
She added, along with pictures of herself and Sean Tully actor Antony posing with Paul and waitress Amber: "Just don’t be late or @bushlar will make you face the wall and think about what you’ve done!! Thanks so much for an outrageous night Amber, Paul, Maddie and all the Kellie’s."
Fans were thrilled to see Kym smiling after she became the 10th contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing in the quarter finals last month. She faced CBBC star Molly Rainford in the dreaded dance off.
Kym and her dance partner Graziano Di Prima reprised their cha cha to Fame from the musical Fame in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition. On departing the dancefloor Kym, 46, said: “Honestly I’ve loved every single second that I’ve been here.
"I never thought I’d get to this stage, in a million years. I have to say, it’s all down to this man [Graziano] here, he is just wonderful and he will be my friend forever."
