Kym Marsh previously revealed her husband 'couldn't care less' about the Strictly Come Dancing curse months before they announced their split.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the 46-year-old soap star and ex-solder Scott, 34, parted ways due to work commitments after trying their best to make things work.
The two got married in front of guests at a lavish ceremony in October 2021, but it seems they couldn't work things out less than two years on.
According to sources, the two only got to see each other a couple of times a week and it put a strain on their relationship.
Kym is yet another Strictly contestant who became single after appearing on the BBC dance competition.
Strictly is linked to the infamous curse which saw a string of stars' and dancers' off-screen relationships breakdown over the past 19 years.
Many relationships ended because of the curse but many also blossomed as a result of the tight schedules and sexy dance moves.
However, Kym's ex Scott supposedly paid no mind to the curse that many people worry about.
Kym, who was recently partnered up with Graziano di Prima, said in October: "I know everyone talks about it but Scott really couldn’t care less.
"I’m an actor and he came and watched me on Fatal Attraction where I took my clothes off on stage, which was pretty daunting."
She added to The Sun : "But now he has seen me getting my kit off on stage and he wasn’t bothered, we don’t have an issue at all."
Kym claimed the show brought the two closer together.
On Thursday, a source revealed the news of Kym and Scott's shock split.
"They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while and they were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most," the insider claimed.
"Kym’s been so busy, and last year Strictly meant even her weekends were stacked up along with weekdays rehearsing."
Speaking to The Sun, the source added how "Scott is based in barracks down south — he’s got a very busy career as well."
