Strictly Come Dancing fans have accused producers of putting Kym Marsh’s place in the competition at ‘risk’ by giving her a ‘ridiculous’ song choice on Saturday night.
Kym has bounced back from the bitter blow of landing in the dance-off early on in the new series in serious style, as she and pro partner Graziano Di Prima have delivered some great performances to avoid suffering the same fate again.
There was some disappointment for the couple last week when their emotionally charged American Smooth, in memory of Kym’s late son Archie. didn’t quite go to plan, with a few too many mistakes during the routine, which were then reflected in the judges’ rather lukewarm scores.
As soon as Strictly fans found out that Kym and Graziano were doing a paso doble in Blackpool, hopes were high that they would deliver a top notch performance in the iconic Tower Ballroom, however, the big talking point soon became the song they’d be dancing to - a medley of Rihanna hits. Many hit out at the song choice the minute it was confirmed and then negative comments came flooding when during Kym and Graziano’s performance on Saturday.

As the pair danced to Only Girl in the World and We Found Love, one unimpressed fan reacted: “Urgh! I know in my heart that Kym and Graziano's paso doble would have been so much better and so much more atmospheric with traditional music. What an song awful choice.”
A second reacted: “ The song choice was awful and this could put her at risk tomorrow. I hope this isn't the case though as I love Kym she's brilliant.” and a third posted: “Who chose this song for Kym's dance? Bloody awful”
Fortunately for Kym and Graziano, while some viewers worried the bad song choice would land them in the bottom two for a second time, they defied predictions and made it safely through to another week.
